  7. No words. It was just.....beyond anything I can describe. To an outsider, it would be just a suspenseful episode...but for those of us with strong ties to the BAU family, it was so much more. My last image of Prentiss...so much better than I suspected. I am at peace. Her lines were directed at fans like me and for that I thank Erica Messer and Paget Brewster, who I hope finds something amazing (and a guest star on CM? Please?). To say I enjoyed the episode would be a huge understatement. Well done by everybody! Looking forward to Season 8!

I couldn't agree with you more PolkaDotSombrero. I myself have become very attached to the show and to ALL of the characters, although, Reid has and always will have a special place in my heart.

  9. Wow. What else is there to say? I'd love to comment on all the special moments, but there are just too many! As a diehard Hotch fan, I do have to mention the Hotch/Jack fort. ;) And Reid doing the magic tricks with the wedding rings with Henry. Just an amazing, awesome episode. And big, ol' tough Rossi turns out be a softie with the kids. (Jack/"Family Affair") and then with Henry. "100" will always be my #1. This two amazing hours are officially my #2. And they left the door wide open for Prentiss/Paget to return. Bottom line: just about as close to perfection a CM fan could possibly get! Kudos to the entire CM team! Cast and Crew!!

  12. Awesome finale. So many elements to ponder...i.e. at the beginning Rossi meeting Garcia and Reid in front of a hotel and then Strauss coming out the door? Someone please reassure me there will never ever be a relationship between Rossi and Strauss. Please. I also loved the fort segment with Hotch/Jack/Beth. Both Paget and Prentiss will leave gaping hole but, as always, the team will rise to the occasion I'm sure.

  13. This was great! I loved the part where JJ kicks ass! Angelina Jolie should watch her back out there in Hollywood!!! The only thing I wish they could have included was some talking between Reid and Prentiss in the end. After all he was the one most troubled by her exit/return/secret thing... But overall I think it was one of the best episodes ever. I'm so glad they didn't kill off Will.

  14. I think that was easily the best finale they've had since the Season 4 finale. I really enjoyed all the little personal moments in the beginning.

I love Hotch and Beth and hope to see that storyline continue next season. Jack asking if she could sleep over was very cute/funny.

I really enjoyed Reid and Garcia's scene right up until the point where Garcia flaked out. Why couldn't they just let her behave like a normal human-being for once and just let the scene focus on Reid and Garcia being geeky.

Rossi and Strauss? Really? That was both hysterical and a major "Eww!!!" moment.

Loved the bank scenes with everyone doing what they do best and even though I figured out that the guy was in on it very quickly I still found it all very suspenseful because you never knew was coming next.

I also knew Will had kevlar on so that moment wasn't all that suspenseful.

    Loved Prentiss diffusing the bomb.

Not overly impressed with yet another round of Ninja JJ, but I'm not a big fan of the new JJ. I thought AJ played the scenes where she was agonizing over Will very well though. Very convincing.

Henry is an adorable child, but he really needs a haircut.

Jack is of course as cute as ever. I can remember when my brother and I used to make forts like that.

All in all I'd rate this as one of my top 5 favorites this season. Good job RD and EM!!! : )

I was left wondering something though. Did they ever disclose why the unsubs were doing what they were doing? I mean, I got the part about the anniversary, but did they ever say what made them start their routine in the first place?

  15. I think this was a finale worthy of CM. I think it was the best since LoFi.
I liked Hit better than Run though, more exciting and more team oriented. I think I am just tired of all the JJ we had this year. The girl fight was just too over the top for me. Having said that, however, I thought AJ did an excellent job, as they all did. Erica also tends to write only for a few of the characters, mainly Morgan, JJ and Garcia. It was like the season ended the way it began, with lots of Morgan and JJ and just as she failed to write where Reid was during the premier, Reid was the only team member who had no lines in the final wedding scene. I find it odd.

  16. I agree, the Rossi/Strauss scene was definitely "Ewwwww". He has always had such obvious dislike for her that it would be tough to figure out how they ever hooked up.

  17. Where in the world has Reid been this whole season?! And this finale was AWFUL for him. As a Reid fan, I was thoroughly displeased.

But, as a Criminal Minds fan, it was a good episode. Deeeefinitely JJ/Will heavy which annoyed me a bit. My favorite thing about Criminal Minds in the past is how they have almost always managed to balance out character moments pretty well. This season, however, was not very good about that. But still, it was a good episode if the lack of Reid is put aside.

  18. It was a good season finale, suspenseful and emotional.

Loved the beginning with the glimpses into their lives (I really love what they do with Hotch and Beth and Jack) and the case certainly had it's holes but it was fast paced and suspenseful.

It's great that JJ finally gets some story lines and screen time as she had been pushed to the background for way too long in the past, even if I would have preferred that the story wasn't something as cliched as her child/loved one being in danger. (Not too thrilled that it was the reason to get married either, I liked that JJ didn't feel the need to get married, but what can you do...)

In any case AJ did a wonderful job with the material she was given.
And I thought the fight was ok, even if it was a little Tarantin-esque but certainly not more farfetched than Prentiss disarming the bomb without some kind of help from a bomb expert.

So go AJ/JJ!!! On to season 8!!!

    Laura
